About this review
An independent, ten-week review of the Health Information Systems platforms in use at the WHO Regional Office for Africa.
IQVIA was named awardee of RFP/AFRO/013/2026 on 16 August 2026. Principal work begins Monday 17 August 2026.
Scope
The review looks across the full portfolio of Health Information Systems platforms in daily use at WHO/AFRO — including the African Health Observatory (iAHO), the DPC Data Portal, EPR Hubs, ESPEN, the Polio GIS, the mental-health platform, and the 47 country-level DHIS2 instances they consume from and report into.
Methodology
Anchored in the WHO/AFRO Framework for integrating country and regional health data (AFR-RC74-7) and the OpenHIE reference architecture. Findings are triangulated across documentation, semi-structured interviews, and hands-on inspection where possible.
